My life and work has, since childhood, been informed by two key questions that have been with me since childhood: why are humans so cruel and destructive to each other and other species? And, what might be our human role/s as members of the ecosystemic web? I have worked for decades in ecological education and habitat management, then research in ecological anthropology and organisational behaviour, and now as as a psychotherapist and eco-spiritual counsellor. I tutor transpersonal ecopsychology (https://www.aleftrust.org/personal-development/transpersonal-ecopsychology) and, since 1995, Education for Sustainability (http://www.lsbu.ac.uk/courses/course-finder/education-sustainability-msc), and psychotherapy research methods on Masters degrees. Publications include: Ancestral warnings of ecosystemic holocaust, its psychospiritual causes, and clues to resolution (Self & Society) Longing to be Human: evolving ourselves in healing the Earth (Rust & Totton ed. Vital Signs), Finding Meaning without Consuming, Psychotherapy as an Eco-Systemic Activity (The Psychotherapist, Winter 2008/9).
