Hi all,

I'm about to start my professional diploma in integrative counselling and would like to do a few weeks in July volunteering on a care farm or in another ecotherapy setting. I am based around Bristol but am prepared to travel. I've obviously already done the certificate course and have four years experience teaching children and adults. I'm very friendly and warm and I want to find out a bit more about working in ecotherapy.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Many thanks and all the best,

  • Hi Charlie,

There is a wonderful care farm local to me set up and run by a fantastic lady called Sian Chattle.

If you can get to Wendover Station (Buckinghamshire) it is a half an hour walk or short taxi ride from there.

Aylesbury station may have better connections.. You can get a bus to Wendover from there

There are also plenty of hotels nearby..

    Here's the website .. Lindengate

Let me know how you get on, if you are around you are welcome to join me for a home cooked meal and I can show you the area.

Good luck with your new career x

    • Hi Rachel,

Thanks very much, that's great info and very generous of you. I'll be in touch if I manage to get there,

      All the best,

  • Hi Charlie,

You might want to send the same message to the Bristol and SW group, as well as the Cornwall and Devon group. That way, all the individuals within those groups will receive the message, and they are more local to you. Messages posted in the forum will be seen by those who visit the site, which is variable and pot luck.

    Good luck with your ventures

    • Thanks very much Mary-Jayne, that's a good idea.
